Jacob, it is logical [that it means] the bathing of the whole body. For should you think, the bathing of the membrum, is this worse [less important] than hot water on a wound? For Rab said, One does not withhold hot water and oil from a wound on the Sabbath.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Whereas according to the present interpretation the first Tanna permits even sprinkling on the first day only, but not on the third.
